In this workshop, artist Kristy Hughes presented a variety of experimental drawing techniques and explained how she utilizes them in her own work. Techniques such as fumage, frottage, collage, and décollage were demonstrated.

Kristy Hughes holds an MFA in Printmaking from Indiana University. She has attended residencies at MASS MoCA, Stutz Arts Association, and the Vermont Studio Center. She has had solo exhibitions at Gallery 924 in Indianapolis, Butler University, and at Ivy Tech John Waldron Arts Center in Bloomington, IN. Recent and upcoming invitational shows include Indiana University (Kokomo), Gallery 360 (Minneapolis), Artlink Contemporary Art Gallery (Fort Wayne, IN), and The University of Texas of the Permian Basin, (Odessa, Texas). Kristy lives and works in Indianapolis, IN.
